I know there are many people out there who have asked same question but everyone seemed to have different issues. I bought this laptop less then 3 months ago I am unable to use it because of that issue.

It is been like this since day one. I made a deep research in the forum before I post this. I reboot the computer without any third parties applications I did this with a microsoft representative on the phone with me.

It was so embarrassed in front of all this people. I found a post in here where a representative of yours is saying that you guys have to know all the process in the task manager. I did that too actually. This thread is locked. You can follow the question or vote as helpful, but you cannot reply to this thread. If you want to find what is running the system, you need to check such things as Task Manager and the Resource Monitor. From one of those you should be able to narrow down the possibilities of what is involved.

The Resource Monitor can filter for certain processes based on what is using the most. Click the top of the column you want to check and arrange in usage order. Then check the box for that process on the left and look in the windows below for specifics. If it is disk usage, you may notice a list of files being checked. Just make sure you look for the highest usage and it may even be a combination of things. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community. Disabled Windows Search 2. Deleted Skype. I have never installed Chrome on this laptop. Disabled SuperFetch service. Updated all drivers.

Performed a disk check. I reset my virtual memory. I disabled my antivirus program temporarily. I disabled all start up programs. Most of the process that are running and takes a lot of memory are Service Host Processes. I have a list of all the processes if needed. Looking forward for any suggestions. I have the same question 9.

I’ve tried everything short of reinstalling Windows, and I’d prefer not to do that, so I’d appreciate all the help I can get. I can also send over the WPA file when needed. No updates are pending, but I’ve had many updates installed over time and they have not fixed this problem. This Windows installation is also just a few months old.

In reply to Paulo GM’s post on May 24, Thank you, I will try the methods mentioned and will return with results. You’re very welcome, Tsar In reply to Paulo GM’s post on May 25, For comparison, I have a laptop Windows on SSD as well that takes nearly instantaneous to log me in after putting in the password. On the desktop, it takes around seconds longer before it reaches the desktop screen, and the disk usage makes accessing anything impossible for a further seconds.

I fear that this constant disk usage will reduce my SSD’s lifespan faster, so any more help in fixing it is appreciated. I have exactly the same issue. It started happening a few days ago, like or so. This site in other languages x.
